Floating in Rojales – experience deep relaxation

Floating is a deep form of relaxation in which you float effortlessly on warm water with a high concentration of Epsom salt during a session. Your body is fully supported by the water, allowing your muscles to relax and your mind to unwind.

At Relaxing Time, floating is about one thing: having a moment in which you do not have to do anything at all. Just you, warm water, silence and relaxation.

Inhoud

Never floated before? Here’s what floating looks like.

When people hear the word “floating,” many think of a small, enclosed capsule. At Relaxing Time, however, you float in a spacious float room.

You simply walk into the float room, step into the warm water, and lie back gently. Thanks to the high concentration of Epsom salt, the water is so buoyant that your body floats effortlessly.

You don’t have to swim, keep yourself afloat, or do anything. The water carries you.

Step in
You step into the spacious float room and calmly step into the warm water.

Lie down
As soon as you lie on your back, you notice how easily the salt water supports your body.

Let go
Find a position that feels comfortable for you and give yourself time to settle in. After that, you don’t have to focus on anything at all for a while.

Switch off from everyday stimuli

In our daily lives, we are often constantly ‘on’. Phones, work, obligations, and a hectic pace mean that our bodies and minds get little genuine rest.

During a float session, external stimuli are significantly reduced. For a while, nothing demands your attention, and there is nothing you need to do.

This creates space to let go and fully unwind.

How does a float session work?

Before your session, take a leisurely shower. Then, step into the float room and take the time to find a comfortable position.

During your session, there is nothing you need to do. You can close your eyes, relax, and enjoy the peace and quiet.

Afterwards, you shower again and can relax and recover.

Peaceful float room

Before and after your float session, you have plenty of time to shower and get changed at your leisure.

What can floating offer you?

Everyone experiences floating in their own way. For some, it is mainly a moment of deep physical relaxation, while others particularly enjoy the silence and sense of calm.

Floating is often chosen by people who are looking for:

• relaxation after a busy period;
• calm when their mind feels full;
• a moment away from everyday stimuli;
• relaxation after sports or physical activity;
• rest after a long journey or an active day;
• consciously taking time for themselves.

Floating is a wellness experience and is not a medical treatment.

Also ideal after sports or physical activity

After exercising, walking, or engaging in other physical activity, it can be pleasant to consciously give your body some rest.

While floating, your body is fully supported by the water. You don’t have to do a thing—just lie back and relax.

A quiet moment for yourself after an active day.

Floating with chronic conditions

Living with chronic pain, fibromyalgia, rheumatism, or other long-term conditions can place heavy demands on your body and energy. Sometimes, what you need most is rest, warmth, and the chance to simply not have to do anything at all.

Floating can then be a pleasant moment of relaxation. Everyone experiences chronic conditions—and floating—differently.

Do you have a chronic condition or are you currently receiving medical treatment?
Always consult your doctor or healthcare professional first to determine whether floating is suitable for you.

Our treatments are focused on wellness and relaxation and are not a substitute for medical treatment or advice from a doctor.

What should you bring?

You don’t need to bring much for your float session. Towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and a hairdryer are provided at Relaxing Time.

Bring your own comb or brush. Do you wear contact lenses? Then bring a lens case and lens solution.

If you have booked an additional treatment alongside your float session, please bring a bathrobe and bath slippers.

It is best to float without swimwear. You have complete privacy during your session.
